JBN on Greatest Hits Radio Cambridgeshire – Business Interview with Daniel Fox

A huge thank you to Wray Forward and Foundervine, team for making this possible

JBN Beverages recently appeared on Greatest Hits Radio Cambridgeshire, where founder Janet Theodore joined Daniel Fox for an inspiring business conversation about building a modern alcohol‑free drinks brand from the ground up.

Janet shared the story behind JBN’s creation, a family‑driven vision to bring natural, culturally inspired, alcohol‑free celebration drinks to the UK market. But the interview also highlighted the reality behind the brand’s early days: the challenge of securing funding, finding investors who believed in the mission and pushing forward despite repeated setbacks.

Janet spoke openly about how difficult it was to access traditional finance routes, especially as a Black female founder in a competitive FMCG landscape. With limited early support, JBN had to rely on determination, resourcefulness and sheer resilience to get its first bottles produced and into the hands of customers. JBN’s persistence has become a defining part of its success story.

The conversation also explored JBN’s growth through Tesco Marketplace, its expanding retail and hospitality footprint and the rising consumer demand for premium alcohol‑free options.
